See. Finish. Adapt. Seal. The film M, outfitted in Black Patina.
The Analog M Kit is built for the cameras that started it all, the M2 through the M-A, and for the way they are actually used: screw mount glass on the front, an eye against the finder all day, two sync sockets open to the weather, and a shutter release that deserves a better surface than bare thread.
Six machined pieces and a leather strap, cut and finished together so the camera reads as one object rather than a body wearing parts. Solid brass darkened by hand into Black Patina, with the Helliot strap in Monochrome. The patina is an organic process, piece by piece, so no two kits break the same way.
Choose your frame lines, your sync port model and your strap length. The rest is decided.
See. The Slim M-EyeKup.
It shields the finder from peripheral light, so contrast comes up and the frame reads clearly on a bright street. A rubberized pad takes the contact, kind to glasses and to the skin around your eye. The 12 mm thread is the one the film bodies use.
Finish. The Shutter Topper, 12 mm.
A concave face that finds your finger and gives the release a defined bite. It threads in by hand, no tools, and comes off the same way.
Adapt. The LTM39-M Adapter, brass.
Machined to the exact 1.00 mm flange-back difference between LTM and M mount, so any LTM/L39 lens mounts with full rangefinder coupling, accurate frame line activation and a zero-play bayonet fit. No calibration, no guesswork.
Three frame line options.
Choose the version that matches your glass: 50/75 for standard and portrait lenses, 35/135 for wide-angle and telephoto, or 28/90 for ultra-wide and short telephoto coverage. Black Patina is cut in all three.
6-bit code ready.
Six recessed dots on the adapter flange can be filled with a matte black marker for 6-bit lens coding on a digital M, with no permanent modification and no coding service.
Seal. The PC Sync Port Plugs.
The film M carries its flash sync sockets open to the world. These close them against dust and moisture and leave a finished surface where there was a hole. Model A fits the M1, M2 and M3; Model B fits the M4 and newer.
The Weather Sealed M Body Cap.
Machined from a single brass rod with a knurled edge for grip and a gasket against dust and moisture. Protection for the body when the lens comes off, not a plastic lid.
The Helliot leather camera strap, Monochrome.
Full grain leather in black, which is where Black Patina hardware wants to sit. It comes on the small lug split rings, which is the size the film M bodies take.
Spares in the box.
A Lug Protection Replacement Steel set, two pair: four full grain leather lug covers, four tempered stainless steel rings in two finishes, two polished and two black, and a split ring pry tool. Changing a strap over is a two minute job, and losing a ring is not a problem.
Made in Miami.
Engineered, machined and finished in our own shop, in limited batches.
- Helliot leather camera strap, Monochrome, small lug. In the length you choose.

- Weather Sealed M Body Cap, Black Patina.
- Lug Protection Replacement Steel, 2 pair. Four full grain leather lug covers, four tempered stainless steel rings, two polished and two black, and a split ring pry tool.
- Leica film M bodies. M6, MP, M-A, M4, M3 and M2.
- Sync port model matters. Model A fits the M1, M2 and M3. Model B fits the M4 and newer, which covers the M4, M6, MP and M-A. Pick the one that matches your body.
- The EyeKup thread. 12 mm, which is the film M and M-series thread through the M240.
- Small lugs. The film M bodies take the smaller strap lug, so the strap ships on small lug split rings. No adapter needed.
- Lenses. The adapter takes LTM/L39 screw mount lenses onto any Leica M bayonet body.
- Frame lines. 50/75 for standard and portrait, 35/135 for wide-angle and telephoto, 28/90 for ultra-wide and short telephoto.
- One caveat on old glass. Some LTM lenses have no helicoid coupling. Those will need live view or an external finder to focus, on any adapter.
- Black Patina. Treat it as brass, but gently. A dry cloth is enough. Hard polishing will lift the patina off the high points, which is either the look you wanted or the one you did not.
- It keeps moving. The patina is brass oxide, so it goes on darkening and wearing at the edges you handle most. That is the finish working, not failing.
- The rubberized pad. A damp cloth. Nothing solvent based near it.
- The leather. Keep it away from heat and let it dry on its own if it gets wet. It darkens with use, which is the point of it.
- Which sync port model do I need?Model A for the M1, M2 and M3. Model B for the M4 and everything after it, so the M4, M6, MP and M-A.
- Which frame lines should I pick?Match your glass. 50/75 for a standard or portrait lens, 35/135 for wide-angle and telephoto, 28/90 for ultra-wide and short telephoto.
- Which strap length?30 inches sits the camera high on the chest, 40 and 45 are the common all day lengths, 50 and 55 carry it at the hip or across the body.
- Will the adapter focus correctly?Yes. It is cut to the 1.00 mm flange-back difference, so the rangefinder couples and the frame lines come up. Lenses with no helicoid coupling are the exception, and that is true of any adapter.
- Does the kit fit a digital M as well? The adapter and the body cap do, and the EyeKup fits any M through the M240 on the 12 mm thread. The sync port plugs are for the film bodies, which are the ones with the sockets.
- Will it look like the photographs?Close, not identical. Each piece is finished by hand through an organic process, so the depth and the break of the patina vary. That variation is the finish, not a fault in it.
- Is this kit offered in other finishes?Yes. The same kit is made in Solid Brass, which is this brass left bright, and in Silver Chrome aluminum.
