Olive Tarano vachetta, on a case cut for the M11 and M EV1
Olive Green Tarano Italian vachetta from Valdibrana Conceria in Tuscany, wrapped around a base plate machined in Miami for the Leica M11 and M EV1. Structured enough to hold its shape from day one and to mold to the camera over time. Black suede interior with green accent stitching, and edges painted, sanded and finished three times across 72 hours.
The olive tone was a deliberate choice, a natural complement to the M11-P Safari without trying to match it exactly, and it works equally well on black or grey bodies. The Silver Chrome plate is paired exclusively with this leather.

- Plate. Silver Chrome, aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum, paired exclusively with this leather.
- Weight. 78 grams, 2.8 ounces, complete with the plate.
- Size. 5 5/8 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches high. 143 by 38 by 70 mm.
- Tripod. Concealed Arca profile, flush at the bottom. The camera goes on a tripod without the case coming off.
- Threads. Two, 1/4 inch by 20.
- Tracking. AirTag bay machined into the plate, with its own keychain tool to open it. The tag itself is not included.
- Base. Anti skid treatment. You feel it the moment you set the camera on a flat surface.
- Access. Battery, SD card and USB-C, all reachable with the case on.
- Interior. Fully lined and padded. The finish of the camera never meets bare metal or bare leather.

- Straight onto a tripod. The Arca profile is concealed in the base plate, so the head takes the camera with the case still fitted.
- Two quarter twenty threads. For a plate, a grip, a cage or a strap anchor.
- Let it dry on its own. If it gets wet, dry it away from direct heat. A radiator will stiffen leather permanently.
- Cleaning. A dry cloth for dust, a barely damp one for anything else, then let it dry flat.
- Conditioner. Sparingly, colourless, and never on the edges.
- The patina is the point. The leather darkens and marks where your hand sits. That is the material working, not the case wearing out.
- Do I have to take it off to change the battery or the card?No. The base plate stays on and the battery, the SD card and the USB-C port are all reachable with the case fitted.
- What is under the leather?Aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum in Silver Chrome, 78 grams complete. This leather is offered with that plate only.

- Will my case look exactly like the photographs?Close, not identical. Colour tone and texture vary slightly from piece to piece, because the material is organic and no two hides finish the same.

The Leather
Full grain leather sourced from a tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Selected for texture, consistency, and tanning quality. Develops character with use. No PVC coating, no synthetic material. Every case carries its own section of hide. No two are identical.
The Structure
Rigid internal support layer built into the leather component. Maintains the shape of the case through real use. Never goes soft or flimsy at the edges over time.
Interior Lining and Padding
The case interior and plate are fully lined and padded. Every surface that contacts the camera is covered. The finish of your M11 never touches bare metal or bare leather.
The Plate
Machined from solid aluminum or brass. Inlaid Arca Profile concealed at the base. Flush, no protrusion, no added bulk. Direct tripod mounting without removing the case.
AirTag Compartment
Built directly into the plate. Accessed via a custom designed cap that requires removing the case to open. Because your investment should stay safe when your put your camera down.
EDC Keychain tool
