Everglades leather over a solid brass plate, cut for the M11 and M EV1
The Everglades FlexCase is full grain Italian leather wrapped around a base plate machined in Miami for the Leica M11 and M EV1. The plate is where the engineering lives: a concealed Arca profile, an AirTag bay, two quarter twenty threads and full access to the battery, the card and the USB-C port without lifting the camera out.
This one carries the solid brass plate. 186 grams complete, against 78 for the same case in aluminum, and the weight sits low, under the body, where a camera carries it best. Produced in very small batches, so a hide runs until it is gone.

Colour tone and texture may vary slightly from piece to piece, as the material is organic and no two hides finish exactly the same.

- Tracking. AirTag bay machined into the plate, with its own keychain tool to open it. The tag itself is not included.
- Base. Anti skid treatment. You feel it the moment you set the camera on a flat surface.
- Access. Battery, SD card and USB-C, all reachable with the case on.
- Interior. Fully lined and padded. The finish of the camera never meets bare metal or bare leather.
- Production. Close to three days of machining and hand work go into each one, which is why only a handful leave the bench each month. Excluded from sitewide promotions.
- Full grain Italian leather. From a small century old tannery in Tuscany. Structured, never floppy, it molds to the camera body over time and gets better the longer it is carried.
- The Everglades finish. A deep brown hide with a large raised scale grain, dark in the low areas and lighter across the crowns, so the texture reads from across a room and the tone shifts with the light.

- The hide you getThe scale pattern falls differently on every panel, so colour and texture vary slightly from piece to piece. That is the material, not a fault in it.
- A day of carrying it186 grams under the camera, lined and padded, so the body never meets bare metal. Brass is the heavier of the two plates and the one that ages: it warms and marks with handling instead of staying uniform.
- On the tripod, then off againThe Arca profile is cut into the plate and sits flush, so the camera drops onto a head and comes back off without the case ever leaving it.

- Straight onto a tripod. The Arca profile is concealed in the base plate, so the head takes the camera with the case still fitted.
- Two quarter twenty threads. For a plate, a grip, a cage or a strap anchor.
- Let it dry on its own. If it gets wet, dry it away from direct heat. A radiator will stiffen leather permanently.
- Cleaning. A dry cloth for dust, a barely damp one for anything else, then let it dry flat.
- Conditioner. Sparingly, colourless, and never on the edges. A grain this deep holds product in the low areas if you overdo it.
- The patina is the point. The leather darkens where your hand sits. That is the material working, not the case wearing out.
- Do I have to take it off to change the battery or the card?No. The base plate stays on and the battery, the SD card and the USB-C port are all reachable with the case fitted.
- Brass or aluminum?This case is the brass one. Brass is the heavier of the two at 186 grams against 78, and it ages with handling rather than staying uniform. If you want the light one, the same case is built on a Black Chrome aluminum plate: Everglades Black Chrome Plate.
- How big is it, and what does it weigh?5 5/8 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches high. 143 by 38 by 70 mm. It weighs 186 grams, 6.6 ounces, complete with the plate.
- Will my case look exactly like the photographs?Close, not identical. The scale pattern and the tone vary from hide to hide, so no two cases carry the same grain.
- Does it fit the M11 D?No. The M11 D has its own FlexCase.

The Leather
Full grain leather sourced from a tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Selected for texture, consistency, and tanning quality. Develops character with use. No PVC coating, no synthetic material. Every case carries its own section of hide. No two are identical.
The Structure
Rigid internal support layer built into the leather component. Maintains the shape of the case through real use. Never goes soft or flimsy at the edges over time.
Interior Lining and Padding
The case interior and plate are fully lined and padded. Every surface that contacts the camera is covered. The finish of your M11 never touches bare metal or bare leather.
The Plate
Machined from solid aluminum or brass. Inlaid Arca Profile concealed at the base. Flush, no protrusion, no added bulk. Direct tripod mounting without removing the case.
AirTag Compartment
Built directly into the plate. Accessed via a custom designed cap that requires removing the case to open. Because your investment should stay safe when your put your camera down.
