• Fits. Leica M11, Leica M EV1 and Leica M11 D. Choose the body at checkout and the plate is machined to it.
• Plate finishes. Four. Black Chrome and Silver Chrome are aircraft grade anodized aluminum. Solid Brass and Black Patina are solid brass.
• Weight. 78 grams, 2.8 ounces, on either aluminum plate. 186 grams, 6.6 ounces, on either brass plate. Complete, plate fitted.
• Size. 5 5/8 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches high. 143 by 38 by 70 mm. The same on all four plates.
• Tripod. Concealed Arca profile, flush at the bottom. The camera goes on a tripod without the case coming off.
• Threads. Two, 1/4 inch by 20.
• Tracking. AirTag bay machined into the plate, with the EDC Keychain Tool to open it. The tag itself is Apple's and is never included.
• Base. Anti-skid treatment, felt the moment you set the camera down.

• Black Swamp leather. Italian vegetable tanned leather in a black gator pattern. The scale texture catches light across the case and stays dark from every angle.
• Edges finished three times. Painted, sanded and finished again across 72 hours.
• Aluminum plate. Aircraft grade, anodized in Black Chrome or Silver Chrome. The colour sits inside the anodized layer rather than on top of it, so it holds its finish.
• Brass plate. Machined from solid brass. Raw, so it darkens as it oxidizes, or in a black patina that starts dark.
• Lined and padded inside. The finish of the camera never touches bare material.
• Made in Miami. Cut, machined and finished in our own shop.

• Aluminum or brassAluminum if you want the camera to gain almost nothing and a finish that stays as it left the shop. Brass if you want the weight in the hand and a plate that ages. Just over a hundred grams between them, and everything else is identical.
• On the tripod, then off againThe Arca profile is machined into the plate and sits flush, so the camera drops onto a head and comes back off without the case ever leaving it.
• A day of carrying itLined and padded throughout, so the camera never meets bare metal. Pair it with the matching Black Swamp strap and the leather on both pieces ages together.
• Knowing where it isThe AirTag bay is machined into the plate and opens only with the keychain tool in the box. The tag itself is Apple's.

• FlexCase. One, in Black Swamp, with the plate you chose.
• EDC Keychain Tool. Opens the AirTag compartment in the plate.
• AirTag. Never included. What we machine is the bay it drops into, and the tool that opens it. The tag is Apple's, and the one in the photographs is there to show the fit.

• Leica M11, M EV1 and M11 D. Cut for those bodies, with the plate machined to the one you choose at checkout.
• On the M11 D. The leather is cut around the ISO dial on the back, so the dial stays in reach with the case fitted.
• The case stays on. Battery, SD card and USB-C are all reachable without taking the camera out.
• Straight onto a tripod. The Arca profile is concealed in the base plate, so the head takes the camera with the case still fitted.
• Two quarter twenty threads. For a plate, a grip, a cage or a strap anchor.

Wipe the leather with a dry cloth. On a gator pattern, dust settles into the scale texture, and a soft dry brush lifts it out without disturbing the finish. A barely damp cloth handles anything the dry one leaves, then let it dry flat and away from direct heat, because heat is what hardens a hide.

The Black Chrome and Silver Chrome plates are anodized aluminum, so they are cleaned rather than polished. A dry microfibre lifts dust and fingerprints, and a barely damp cloth followed by a dry one takes off the rest. Nothing abrasive and no solvents: the colour lives inside the anodized layer, and once you cut through it the plate does not come back.

Brass behaves the opposite way. It dulls as it oxidizes; leave it and it darkens evenly, which is what most people want, or polish it and it returns to bright. The black patina is a finish on the same brass, so treat it as a surface: wipe it, do not polish it, or you will take it back to bright metal where you rub hardest.

Brush or rinse grit off the base before you wipe it, because sand dragged across a plate is what actually scratches these finishes.

• Aluminum or brass? Aluminum if you want the camera to gain almost nothing, 78 grams complete, in Black Chrome or Silver Chrome, and a finish that does not change. Brass if you want the weight in the hand and a plate that ages, 186 grams complete, raw or in a black patina. Everything else about the case is identical.
• Does the case come off to charge or change cards? No. Battery, SD card and USB-C stay reachable with the case on.
• Can I put it straight on a tripod? Yes. The Arca profile is machined into the base and sits flush, so nothing needs removing first.
• Does an AirTag come with it? No. What we machine is the bay in the plate and the keychain tool that opens it. The tag is Apple's.
• Is there a matching strap? Yes. The Classic Flat Padded Rope strap in Black Swamp is cut from the same hide, and the two are also sold together as a set for less than buying them apart.
• Does it fit the M11 D? Yes. Choose Leica M11 D as the camera model and the plate is machined to that body.
