The case and the strap, cut from the same hide
The Emerald Gloss FlexCase and the Classic Flat Padded Rope strap in the same leather, sold together and 50 dollars under the two bought apart. Italian vegetable tanned leather in a deep green, pebbled and glossy, over a precision machined aluminum plate for the Leica M11 and M EV1.
- One hide, two piecesThe case and the strap pad come from the same run, so they start the same colur and age at the same rate. Matching them later is luck.

Where the weight sitsThe padded section carries the load across the neck rather than a cord cutting into it, and 171 grams total is light enough to forget.
171 grams for the pair: 82 for the case, 89 for the strap. Choose the strap length and how it attaches, and the set ships with the matching leather you cannot buy as a pairing anywhere else.
- Straight onto the tripodThe Arca profile is machined into the plate, so the head takes the camera with the case on and the strap still attached.
- Moving between bodiesLength and attachment are yours to choose. Quick release anchors or the multi attachment bundle move the strap to a second camera in seconds.
- Leica M11 and M EV1. The FlexCase plate is machined to those two bodies.
- The strap fits any camera. Length and attachment are chosen at checkout, so the same strap moves to a second body.
- Five lengths. 30, 40, 45, 50 and 55 inches, measured end to end.
- Four ways to attach. Polished split rings, quick release anchors, Hassy clips for Hasselblad, or the multi attachment bundle that carries all of them.
- The case stays on. Battery, SD card and USB-C stay reachable, and the Arca profile is concealed in the plate for a tripod.
- Matching leather, both pieces. Italian vegetable tanned leather in a deep green with a pebbled grain and a glossy finish, on the case and on the strap pad.
- Edges finished three times. Painted, sanded and finished again across 72 hours.

- Leather. A dry cloth for dust, a barely damp one for anything else, then let it dry flat and away from direct heat.
- The padded section. Chrome tanned, so it tolerates damp better than the case does and needs conditioner only when it feels dry to the hand.
- The rope. No treatment. Rinse it in cool water if it picks up salt or grit and let it air dry before rolling it away.
- The plate. A dry or barely damp cloth. No solvents, no abrasive paste: the anodized layer is the finish.
- The patina is the point. Both pieces darken and mark with use, and they do it together because they are cut from the same hide.
- What am I saving?The FlexCase is 525 and the strap is 194.99, so the two bought separately come to 719.99. The set starts at 669.99.
- Which attachment should I pick?Split rings are the simplest and the lightest. Quick release anchors let you take the strap off in a second. Hassy clips are for Hasselblad lugs. The bundle carries all of them, for anyone who moves one strap between bodies.
- Can I get the case in brass?Not in the set. The set is built on the aluminum plate, which is what the 82 gram figure refers to. The Emerald Gloss FlexCase is sold on its own in brass and black patina.
- Is the strap leather the same as the case?Yes, the same hide in the same run. That pairing is not sold anywhere else.
- Does it fit the M11 D?No. That body needs its own plate.
