A dry microfibre lifts dust and fingerprints, and a barely damp cloth followed by a dry one takes off the rest. Nothing abrasive and no solvents: the colour lives inside the anodized layer, and once you cut through it the plate does not come back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrass behaves the opposite way. It dulls as it oxidizes; leave it and it darkens evenly, which is what most people want, or polish it and it returns to bright.
